We strive to make our products according to your needs and expectations. Therefore, we have prepared some basic guidelines and tips on how to choose the right print size for your design, so that the result looks as good as possible!

Choosing the right size and placement of the design is one of the most important steps to realizing your idea. There are several general rules that we have described with examples in this article.

Print placement plays an important role in choosing a print size, but there is more to consider here. There is a wide range of products and it is worth thinking carefully about the print size for each specific type and size of product. In the picture below you can see the different print sizes on a classic t-shirt (men’s size L). We always recommend a print size based on the size and gender of the t-shirt so that the result looks as good as possible (these recommendations are not maximum print sizes). However, each product is unique and different, so it is up to you to decide which size will be optimal.

How to choose the right print format 1

If you order different sizes of textiles, the same size of the printed pattern will be larger on smaller textiles and vice versa. Therefore, we recommend choosing a print size compromise that works well on all textile sizes (usually A4 as a landscape page is optimal).

If you want the design to be printed as large as possible on a women’s size S t-shirt, as well as on a men’s XL, different sizes of mockups can be made. For example, we can print smaller designs on women’s size S t-shirts and larger designs on men’s t-shirts. However, in this case, the prints will vary in price and separate during printing. Therefore, we recommend choosing this option only when ordering larger volumes.

To better understand what the most common print placement options are and their size according to a specific type of textile, take a look at our description below:

A T-SHIRT

Recommended print size based on placement:

  • Placing the logo on the left chest – approx. width from 9 to 10 cm *
  • On the back near the neck – approximately 7 to 8 cm wide *
  • Print on the sleeve (only on the white product, from women’s M) – up to 9 cm (direct digital printing), if you need a larger inscription, then we can apply it by the method of thermal film transfer.

Most often, the logo is placed on the left side of the chest (in the area of the heart) or behind the neck in the form of a tag. Therefore, we recommend a size of 9-10 cm in width. If your desired design size is larger, your print may be larger.

How to choose the right print format 2

Recommended print size:

  • Women’s T-shirt, chest print – width approx. 28/29 cm *

The standard deviation from the neck on a women’s T-shirt is 6-7 cm.

  • Men’s T-shirt, chest print – approx. width 30 cm *

The standard deviation from the neck on a men’s T-shirt is 7-9 cm.

These print sizes are recommended so that the result looks as good as possible. We can also print your design on request.
The usual size of the A4 format is 21 x 30 cm, but if the layout is square, the exception is the size of 25 x 25 cm.
